When I decided to write this blog I was torn between giving it the title “Deep Thoughts”, inspired by Jack Handy, and the near daily ongoing inspiration I derive from the Dude of Big Lebowski fame. After further reflection it occurred to me that my thoughts really are not very deep, and I don’t really have what one might call “Big Ideas”; they are actually more along the lines of small to medium size ideas. So in the interests of intellectual honesty, I decided to title this Blog “Shallow Thoughts”, which is closer to reality, and to give it the tag line which is a shout out to the Dude and all those who take comfort in just knowing that he’s out there, abiding, and taking it easy for all us sinners. This also acknowledges that whatever you read here is just in fact what the Dude said, it’s my opinion, man. You may or may not be interested in that, but if you happen to find yourself here and have read at least as far as this, drop me a line to say “Hey Dude” to let me know you were here, even if it’s only to say, you’re full of it man.
